Meet us!
In 2001, Efter graduated from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens with a BSc in Physiotherapy, in 2001. Following that she worked in private practice and joined a clinic in Athens specializing in upper limb - post op rehabilitation and musculoskeletal pain.
Her passion for “making people feel better” took her to Perth - Australia where in 2005, she gained a Masters in Manipulative Therapy from the prestigious Curtin University of Technology.
In 2006 she came to London where she joined the Sloane Hospital and by 2010 she became the Clinical Specialist of the department having treated successfully thousands of patients (it is true!).
Around 2012 she started studying CranioSacral Therapy (CST) at the Upledger Institute UK and became very inspired by how the body and mind responds to light touch.
The ideas of "trust the process" and what is "the minimum input to induce change", became central in her treatment approach.
She received her Diplomate qualification and has been an Upledger study group leader for several years helping CST students becoming better practitioners.
In 2014 she established her own mobile practice with Lisa in South East London incorporating both CST and Physio approaches.
Efter views the person as a whole and balanced organism
guided by their inner intelligence or inner wisdom.
She can blend her skills to suit the client's individual needs.
When Physiotherapy is appropriate, she can employ joint mobilization and soft tissue work, pain education, fascia release, therapeutic exercises, rehabilitation and taping techniques.
When CST or SomatoEmotional Release is appropriate, she can facilitate the clients' process by helping them to connect with their inner wisdom. This gives them access to their own resources
which enables clients to find the solution. It is through that connection that healing is possible.
When Efter is not treating patients, she enjoys surfing, swimming and photography.
